The Auxiliary:
Serving residents in the National Lutheran Home tradition
Be part of something bigger.
The members of the Auxiliary of the National Lutheran Home always have provided something extra for our community.
The Auxiliary and its predecessor, the Board of Lady Managers, have been there from day one. In the beginning, the group served to run all non-nursing aspects of the Home. Today, it is both the fund-raising and volunteer organization for our community. More than 1,000 volunteers continue the tradition of service.
The Auxiliary of the National Lutheran Home members are part of the community here. They see things that are needed and then work to make them happen. Among many gifts, they raised funds to purchase transport buses and books for the community library. They plan activities to celebrate birthdays and holidays and have a one-to-one companion program for residents. Our two annual Festivals are historic successes, thanks to the tireless spirit of the Auxiliary. These are just the highlights of a rich story of service.
