We’re excited that you’re here to learn about updates regarding the National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) and Augsburg Village affiliation. We look forward to sharing updates with you throughout this process.
Beginning in August 2019, we have hosted information sessions for residents and team members. The primary goal was to introduce NLCS, explain what affiliation means, and communicate what to expect next. Here is a recap of our conversations. These information sessions have continued monthly for team members.
Who is NLCS?
NLCS is faith-based, not-for-profit organization that shares in Augsburg’s mission of providing quality care for older adults. We CARE is NLCS’s employee-driven initiative that reflects our values, customer service and employee recognition.
What does affiliation mean?
NLCS and Augsburg become a part of a larger system, which means that we have access to strong support services, increased breadth of expertise, access to additional benefits and resources, best-in class education, and a more competitive edge in the industry.
What can you expect?
Continued communication from NLCS and Augsburg leadership teams. Information will be shared, as it is available. Team member updates will include benefits, updated handbook, enhanced technology, new policies, etc. Resident updates may include resident contracts, organization changes, billing, etc.
What part can you play in the success of affiliation?
NLCS and Augsburg leadership ask that you stay positive and ask questions.
