From its beginning in 1890 with a gift of land, National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) began what has become a model for senior living. Honoring our mission, and drawing from a faith-based heritage, NLCS supports the choice and opportunity in partnership with older adults. In keeping with our tradition, NLCS today continues to serve through our senior living communities, programs and services to reimagine aging.
For more than 130 years, the NLCS benevolent care program has provided financial assistance to residents who have been good financial stewards yet have outlived their resources and can no longer afford the services or care they need. Guided by our mission to serve, and drawing from that faith-filled history, we view stewardship as a heartfelt way to assist older adults.
Become a supporter of NLCS! We welcome your time, talents and financial resources that make life-changing impacts on the lives of older adults. For more information about philanthropy or to discuss your charitable interests, contact Dee Dee Barbour, NLCS philanthropy director, at 240-686-6002.
