Washingtonian magazine has released its list of the Washington, D.C. area’s Top Doctors. Medical professionals from around the area were asked which doctors, across 39 specialty fields, they trust with their families’ health. The Village at Rockville – A National Lutheran Community was excited to see that our Medical Director, Dr. Lee Jonathan Musher, MD, CMD, was listed as one of the area’s Top Doctors.
Dr. Musher completed his residency at Catholic Medical Center’s Department of Family Medicine (New York), and geriatric fellowship at The Parker Geriatric Center, Long Island Jewish Medical Center (New York). He is a family practitioner and fellowship-trained geriatrician, is the chair of family medicine at Suburban Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medicine and has overseen The Village at Rockville’s health care since 2007.
His specialties are in adult medicine, geriatrics, and health and wellness, however, it is his unique blend of traditional medicine and wellness that has enabled Dr. Musher to oversee the care for residents at The Village at Rockville. By not only focusing on their medical needs, but also providing good nutritional advice, exercise, and wellness coaching, Dr. Musher has empowered seniors to make the necessary changes to improve their lives.
“I want all seniors to live a happy and healthy life – that means not only focusing on their medical needs, but also on good nutrition, fitness, motivational support, education, and wellness coaching,” said Dr. Musher in regards to his holistic approach to care. It is this philosophy for practicing proactive, preventive, medicine that truly makes him one of the area’s top doctors and an excellent resource for seniors at The Village at Rockville.
