Long-term care

Find long-term nursing care Virginia and Maryland

As a faith-based not-for-profit organization, NLCS believes in delivering compassionate care, combined with the most advanced and forward-looking health care services for older adults. Our long-term care neighborhoods offer 24/7 skilled nursing as well as stimulating activities and amenities to make every day as enjoyable as possible.

Our long-term care program is built on person-centered care philosophies that offer a customized approach to providing support while maintaining dignity and individuality. We help you or your loved one live fulfilling lives with a variety of amenities, services and programming to thrive in body, mind and spirit in a positive, supportive environment.

Our professional teams take great pride in delivering individualized care tailored to every resident. Before a resident moves into long-term care, we conduct an assessment and talk with the resident and their loved ones to try to get to know them — their interests, their likes and dislikes, and their personality. We develop a care plan in collaboration with the resident, family, and our team. Continual communication motivates families to entrust their loved ones into our care.

Our promise to you is that we get to know our residents personally and do everything we can to provide quality care in a comfortable, stimulating environment, the same as we would want for our own family. Below are some sample services and amenities you will find in National Lutheran’s long-term care neighborhoods. To learn more about specific communities, contact us today.
