NLCS Names Melody Schneider as Chief Marketing Officer

ROCKVILLE, Md. – National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) announced today that The Village at Orchard Ridge’s Director of Marketing and Sales Melody Schneider is the organization’s new Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Schneider will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing marketing strategies for NLCS and its communities. Additionally, as a member of the senior leadership team, she will promote the organization’s mission, vision and values throughout its service-area with community leaders, residents and customers of NLCS.

“As the Director of Marketing and Sales at The Village at Orchard Ridge, one of National Lutheran’s newest communities, Melody demonstrated her sales and marketing skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects,” states Larry Bradshaw, CEO of National Lutheran Communities & Services. “We are very excited to have her skill, expertise and passion on this team, and know she will support our strategic growth and ministry.”

Within the 10 months as The Village at Orchard Ridge’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Schneider established a sales team capable of exceeding sales goals; informational events that have attracted more than 1,000 people and oversaw the development of all marketing materials including a new website, a fly-through animated community video and collateral. Prior to this position, the 16-year marketing veteran held various senior level marketing positions at an established retirement community in Winchester, Va. and at an assisted living community in Front Royal, Va. She brings a wealth of experience in the senior living industry having worked in health care environments specializing in senior care throughout her career. Schneider also has knowledge of the Washington, D.C.-Metro market having resided in Northern Virginia most of her life.

Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Arlington, Va., Schneider graduated from James Madison University and majored in Communications with a minor in Public Relations. She now resides in Winchester with her family.
