WHY GIVE?

HEAR FROM OUR DONORS

A grateful daughter whose mother was a long-standing resident of The Village at Rockville shares her reflections on the benevolent care support enabling her mother to remain in the community long after her resources had run out:

Several years after Mom had moved in, we realized that Mom’s resources probably had run out. She was probably on Medicaid. I say probably because we never knew for sure. Because nothing changed in her care: her room was not changed, her nurses were not changed, her medications were not changed, her doctors were not changed. Nothing was changed. Apparently, whatever shortfall there was, the benevolent care fund took over. And when we started looking for a place for ourselves, we said, ‘You know, that’s the type of organization we want to be associated with.”
