For more than 130 years, National Lutheran Communities & Services’ (NLCS’) benevolent care program has provided financial assistance to residents who have been good financial stewards yet have outlived their resources. Your generosity and gifts in support of benevolent care are a blessing that brings residents experiencing financial difficulty renewed hope and opportunities to age with choice.
In 2022, over $858,000 was provided in benevolent care to 24 residents at National Lutheran Communities & Services communities, and nearly $2.5 million over the last three years. Older adults are living longer but facing ever-higher costs of care. Even with careful planning, unexpected circumstances can have devastating impacts on older adults’ financial resources.
Please consider making a gift today in support of our mission and ongoing benevolent care for residents in need. Your gift can be made in memory or honor of a loved one or friend and will be recognized in a tribute letter to the honoree. It is a special way to recognize a birthday, anniversary, or holiday.
To make a gift through a Qualified Charitable Distribution or by designating National Lutheran Communities & Services as a beneficiary in your estate, please contact NLCS Mission Advancement Director Zach Heeter at 410-487-3422 or zheeter@nationallutheran.org for further information.
